Parentela Law and Legal Definition
Parentala is a term of Latin law that refers to persons who can trace descent from a common ancestor. It can also refer to the line of blood relatives or kin of a person by descent. For example, according to Uniform Probate Code, if no member of the third or a nearer parentela survives the decedent, the intestate estate escheats to the state.
