Parol Demurrer Law and Legal Definition
Parol demurrer refers to the staying of proceedings during the minority of an infant. Parol demurrer was originally permitted in some real actions and was allowed when either party to the proceedings were of non-age. However, nowadays this practice seems to be abolished. Originally, granting of parol demurrer was for the benefit of the infant that s/he may not be prejudiced in his/her rights for want of well knowing his/her estate.
