Part-Time Student Law and Legal Definition
A part-time student means a student, ordinarily in higher education, who takes only some selected courses, rather than a full load of course in each semester. A part-time student will be enrolled in the university. However, a part-time student will not take the minimum number of credits to meet the university's requirement for a full term course. The minimum number of credit required is usually twelve credit hours per semester.
