Patent application Amendment After Final Action Law and Legal Definition
An amendment made to the patent application after final rejection of the patent application is called an amendment after final action. The amendment after such final rejection can drop claims but cannot add them. The amendment shall not raise new issues for the examiner; however, it can make changes in form in order to be entered.
