Pay [Education] Law and Legal Definition
According to 34 CFR 31.2 [Title 34 – Education; Subtitle A -- Office of the Secretary, Department of Education; Part 31 -- Salary Offset for Federal Employees who are Indebted to the United States Under Programs Administered by the Secretary of Education], the term pay means “basic pay, special pay, incentive pay, retired pay, retainer pay, or, in the case of an individual not entitled to basic pay, other authorized pay, including severance pay or lump sum payments for accrued annual leave, and amounts payable from the Federal retirement account of an employee.”
