According to 34 CFR 364.4 (b) [Title 34 – Education; Subtitle B -- Regulations of the Offices of the Department of Education; Chapter III -- Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services, Department of Education; Part 364 -- State Independent Living Services Program and Centers for Independent Living Program: General Provisions; Subpart A – General], the term peer role models mean “individuals with significant disabilities whose achievements can serve as a positive example for other individuals with significant disabilities.”
