Pentagon Force Protection Agency Law and Legal Definition
The Pentagon Force Protection Agency was formed after the Pentagon was attacked on September 11, 2001. The Pentagon Force Protection Agency is responsible for operating the Pentagon police force and providing basic law enforcement and security for the Pentagon and other military installations in the Washington, D.C. area. The Pentagon Force Protection Agency is a civilian Defense Agency within the Department of Defense charged with protecting and safeguarding the occupants, visitors, and infrastructure of the Pentagon, Navy Annex and other assigned Pentagon facilities. The Agency provides a variety of services to its customers to include emergency services, parking management, lock installation/services, classified waste disposal, access control, building pass issuance, emergency escape mask issuance / training, mail screening, and law enforcement.
