Personal Fall Arrest System [Transportation] Law and Legal Definition
According to 49 CFR 214.7 [Title 49 – Transportation; Subtitle B Other Regulations Relating to Transportation; Chapter II Federal Railroad Administration, Department of Transportation; Part 214 Railroad Workplace Safety; Subpart A – General], personal fall arrest system means “a system used to arrest the fall of a person from a working level. It consists of an anchorage, connectors, body harness, lanyard, deceleration device, lifeline, or combination of these.”
