Personal Service Contract Law and Legal Definition
According to 48 CFR 2.101 (Title 48, Federal Acquisition Regulations System; Chapter 1, Federal Acquisition Regulation; Subchapter A, General; Part 2, Definitions of Words and Terms; Subpart 2.1, Definitions), a personal service contract is an agreement between an employer and an employee. A personal service contract offers better terms and conditions.” Pursuant to 48 CFR 2.101, personal services contract means “a contract that, by its express terms or as administered, makes the contractor personnel appear to be, in effect, Government employees.”
