Physical Education Law and Legal Definition
Physical education is the care and development of the human body. It stresses athletics and personal hygiene. Physical education or gymnastics is a course taken during primary and secondary education. This course encourages psychomotor learning in a play or movement exploration setting. Students are also taught martial arts to develop self defense methods. In the U.S., a number of colleges and universities offer degrees in the field of physical education.
