According to42 CFR 440. 110 [Title 42, Public Health, Chapter IV,Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, Department of Health and Human Services, SubChapter C, Medical Assistance Programs, Part 440, Services, General Provisions, Subpart A, Definitions],physical therapy means “services prescribed by a physician or other licensed practitioner of the healing arts within the scope of his or her practice under State law and provided to a recipient by or under the direction of a qualified physical therapist. It includes any necessary supplies and equipment”.
