Placement Test Law and Legal Definition
Placement test is a standardized test conducted before giving admission to a course. Placement tests are conducted to determine the academic ability of the applicant, in a certain field. Such tests help in evaluating if the applicant can be placed in the appropriate courses in that field. A student is given academic credit based on the results of a placement test. A placement test measures the skills, intelligence, motivation, interests, needs, and goals of applicants. Placement test scores are comparable, and the test is used for finding the best applicant from a group, for particular occupations.
