Post-Deferment Grace Period [Education] Law and Legal Definition
According to 34 CFR 682.200 (b) [Title 34 – Education; Subtitle B -- Regulations of the Offices of the Department of Education; Chapter VI -- Office of Postsecondary Education, Department of Education; Part 682 -- Federal Family Education Loan (FFEL) Program; Subpart B -- General Provisions], the term post-deferment grace period means “for a loan made prior to October 1, 1981, a single period of six consecutive months beginning on the day following the last day of an authorized deferment period.”
