Post Obit Gift Law and Legal Definition
Post obit gift is a form of will in which the landholder makes a gift of his freehold estate to a distributor. In a post obit gift it will be stipulated that the gift will take effect at the landholder's death and that the land will then be distributed according to the instructions which the landholder had given.
