Poverty Level Law and Legal Definition
According to 42 CFR 5.2, poverty level means the poverty level as defined by the Bureau of the Census, using the poverty index adopted by a Federal Interagency Committee in 1969, and updated each year to reflect changes in the Consumer Price Index.
