Power Venting Law and Legal Definition
According to 10 CFR 431.242 [Title 10 – Energy; Chapter II -- Department of Energy; Subchapter D -- Energy Conservation; Part 431 -- Energy Efficiency Program for Certain Commercial and Industrial Equipment; Subpart N -- Unit Heaters], the term power venting means “a venting system that uses a separate fan, either integral to the appliance or attached to the vent pipe, to convey products of combustion and excess or dilution air through the vent pipe.”
