Praesumitur Pro Reo Law and Legal Definition
Praesumitur pro reo is a Latin maxim which means there is a presumption in favor of a defendant. The defendant is presumed to be innocent of all the charges against him until he is proven guilty by the evidence submitted. [Culpepper v. State, 4 Okla. Crim. 103, 111 (Okla. Crim. App. 1910)].
