Predetonation Survey Law and Legal Definition
Pursuant to 50 CFR 216.215 [Title 50 -- Wildlife and Fisheries Chapter Ii -- National Marine Fisheries Service, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Department of Commerce], the term predetonation survey (required for all scenarios) means “any marine mammal monitoring survey (e.g., surface, aerial, or acoustic) conducted prior to the detonation of any explosive severance tool.”
