Preferred Site Law and Legal Definition
According to 39 CFR 776.3 (Title 39 - Postal Service; Chapter I - United States Postal Service; Subchapter K - Environmental Regulations; Part 776 - Floodplain And Wetland Procedures; Subpart A - General Provisions), preferred site means “the most advantageous site for a proposed facility, taking into consideration postal operational and customer service needs, cost, and availability, as determined by the operations organization within the Postal Service.”
