Pregnancy Care Law and Legal Definition
Pregnancy care refers to the care given by an obstetrician or midwife during pregnancy, regarding regular health care. Pregnancy care services include dietary and lifestyle advice, weighing to ensure proper weight gain, and examination for problems of pregnancy such as edema and preeclampsia. In case of a pregnant lady above 40 years or with diabetes, pregnancy care will be given by an experienced specialist. Some employers provide the same benefits for pregnancy, childbirth, and related medical conditions as for any other sickness or injury.
