Present Heirs Law and Legal Definition
Present heirs are a man's heirs as determined on the day of his death. The words "present heirs" can only be regarded as descriptive of a class who are to jointly take the estate with the grantee. Under some circumstances "present heirs" could only mean heirs apparent. [Fountain County Coal & Min. Co. v. Beckleheimer, 102 Ind. 76, 78 (Ind. 1885)].
