Preventive Injunction Law and Legal Definition
Preventive injunction is an injunction commanding a party to refrain from doing an act. In general, injunction is a preventive remedy. However, if necessary, to meet the exigencies of a particular situation, the injunctive decree may be both preventive and mandatory. [Leaksville Woolen Mills v. Spray Water Power & Land Co., 183 N.C. 511 (N.C. 1922)].
