Private Non-Industrial Forest Land Law and Legal Definition
According to 7 CFR 701.51 [Title 7—Agriculture; Subtitle B -- Regulations of the Department of Agriculture; Chapter VII -- Farm Service Agency, Department of Agriculture; Subchapter A -- Agricultural Conservation Program; Part 701 -- Emergency Conservation Program and Certain Related Programs Previously Administered under this Part], private non-industrial forest land means “rural commercial forest lands with existing tree cover, or which are suitable for growing trees, that are owned by a private non-industrial forest landowner.”
