Prohibited Drug Law and Legal Definition
According to 49 CFR 199.3 [Title 49 – Transportation; Subtitle B Other Regulations Relating to Transportation; Chapter I Pipeline And Hazardous Materials Safety Administration, Department of Transportation; Subchapter D Pipeline Safety; Part 199 Drug and Alcohol Testing; Subpart A – General], prohibited drug means “any of the following substances specified in Schedule I or Schedule II of the Controlled Substances Act (21 U.S.C. 812): marijuana, cocaine, opiates, amphetamines, and phencyclidine (PCP).”
