Prudential Regulator [Banks & Banking] Law and Legal Definition
Pursuant to 12 USCS § 5481 (24) [Title 12. Banks and Banking; Chapter 53. Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection; Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection], the term prudential regulator means--
“(A) in the case of an insured depository institution or depository institution holding company (as defined in section 3 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act [12 USCS § 1813]), or subsidiary of such institution or company, the appropriate Federal banking agency, as that term is defined in section 3 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act [12 USCS § 1813]; and
(B) in the case of an insured credit union, the National Credit Union Administration.”
