According to 49 CFR 801.3 [Title 49 – Transportation; Subtitle B Other Regulations Relating to Transportation; Chapter VIII National Transportation Safety Board; Part 801 Public Availability of Information; Subpart A Applicability and Policy], Public Docket includes “a collection of records from an accident investigation that the investigator who oversaw the investigation of that accident has deemed pertinent to determining the probable cause of the accident.”
