Public Domain Lands Law and Legal Definition
Public domain lands refer to those lands or interests that are owned by the U.S. and administered by the Secretary of the Interior through the Bureau of Land Management. These lands are never left the control of the U.S. Public domain lands are owned by the U.S. by virtue of its sovereignty.
