Public Observation [Federal Elections] Law and Legal Definition
According to 11 CFR 9407.2 [Title 11 -- Federal Elections; Chapter II -- Election Assistance Commission; Part 9407 -- Implementation of the Government in the Sunshine Act], the term public observation means “attendance by one or more members of the public at a meeting of the Commission but does not include participation in the meeting.”
