According to 14 CFR 420.5 [Title 14 Aeronautics and Space; Chapter III Commercial Space Transportation, Federal Aviation Administration, Department of Transportation (Parts 400 to 499); Subchapter C Licensing; Part 420 License to Operate a Launch Site; Subpart A General], Public Traffic Route Distance means “the minimum distance permitted between a public highway or railroad line and an explosive hazard facility.”
