Pump and Dump Law and Legal Definition
Pump and dump is a fraudulent practice where the prices of stock are artificially inflated. In pump and dump the price of the owned stock is inflated through false and misleading positive statements. This practice is followed with the intention that the stock cheaply purchased need to be sold at a higher price.
