Qualifying Components Law and Legal Definition
According to 10 CFR 611.2 [Title 10 Energy; Chapter II Department of Energy; Subchapter H Assistance Regulations; Part 611 Advanced Technology Vehicles; Manufacturer Assistance Program; Subpart A General], qualifying components means “components that the DOE determines are
(1) Designed for advanced technology vehicles; and
(2) Installed for the purpose of meeting the performance requirements of advanced technology vehicles.”
