Quality Assurance Standards Law and Legal Definition
These are published documents which give a description about the systems to be used by a company to manage quality. One of the Quality standards is ISO 9001, issued by International Organization for standardization. ISO 9001 applies to general supplier qualification. Large organizations such as government defense departments, health departments, car manufacturers such as Ford, Toyota, and General Motors, aerospace companies such as Boeing and Lockheed buys from only those suppliers who give them assurance that they have systems which support quality.
