The term ‘Queen’s proctor’ is used to refer a solicitor who represents the Crown in admiralty cases, domestic relations, or probate matters. For example, in a suit for divorce, the Queen's proctor may interfere to prove collusion between the parties. When a King reigns, the solicitor is termed as King's proctor.
