Safety Integration Plan [Transportation] Law and Legal Definition
According to 49 CFR 244.9 [Title 49 – Transportation; Subtitle B Other Regulations Relating to Transportation; Chapter II Federal Railroad Administration, Department of Transportation; Part 244 Regulations on Safety Integration Plans Governing Railroad Consolidations, Mergers, and Acquisitions of Control; Subpart A – General], Safety Integration Plan means “a comprehensive written plan submitted to and approved by FRA in compliance with this part that demonstrates in required detail how an applicant will provide for safe railroad operations during and after any transaction covered by this part, and otherwise assure compliance with the Federal railroad safety laws.”
