Salva Veritate Law and Legal Definition
Salva veritate literally means ‘saving the truth’ or ‘with truth intact’ or ‘with unharmed truth’. If a term that is contained in a statement can be substituted with another term without altering the meaning of the statement ,then the two terms can be said to be the same or salva veritate. Salva Veritate refers to the terms that can be used reciprocally without altering the truth of the statement containing the terms. For example the terms triangle and trilateral can be interchanged in a statement without altering the truth of the statement.
