Scheduled Injury Law and Legal Definition
Scheduled injury is a partial disabling injury for which a predetermined amount of compensation is allowed under a workers’ compensation statute. In other words, there will be a predetermined listed financial amount for each part of the body that can be injured. For example, the amount of compensation for the injury caused to an index finger in a particular state may be worth “A” dollars, whereas the amount of compensation for the injury caused to a toe may be “B” dollars. The injured employee is entitled to these benefits as a matter of right as established by statutory law.
