School-Affiliated Organization [Education] Law and Legal Definition
According to 34 CFR 682.200 _b_ [Title 34 – Education; Subtitle B -- Regulations of the Offices of the Department of Education; Chapter VI -- Office of Postsecondary Education, Department of Education; Part 682 -- Federal Family Education Loan _FFEL_ Program; Subpart B -- General Provisions], the term school-affiliated organization means “a school-affiliated organization is any organization that is directly or indirectly related to a school and includes, but is not limited to, alumni organizations, foundations, athletic organizations, and social, academic, and professional organizations.”
