School Year Law and Legal Definition
Pursuant to 20 USCS § 1061 (5), [Title 20. Education; Chapter 28. Higher Education Resources and Student Assistance; Institutional Aid; Strengthening Historically Black Colleges And Universities] the term school year means “the period of 12 months beginning July 1 of any calendar year and ending June 30 of the following calendar year.”
