Secure Printing Process Law and Legal Definition
According to 49 CFR 580.3 [Title 49 – Transportation; Subtitle B -- Other Regulations Relating to Transportation; Chapter V -- National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Department of Transportation; Part 580 -- Odometer Disclosure Requirements], secure printing process or other secure process means “any process which deters and detects counterfeiting and/or unauthorized reproduction and allows alterations to be visible to the naked eye.”
