According to 5 CFR 300.703 [Title 5 Administrative Personnel; Chapter I Office of Personnel Management; Subchapter B Civil Service Regulations; Part 300 Employment (General); Subpart G Statutory Bar to Appointment of Persons Who Fail to Register Under Selective Service Law] Selective Service law means the Military Selective Service Act, rules and regulations issued thereunder, and proclamations of the President under that Act.
