Serious Youthful offender Law and Legal Definition
A serious youthful offender is a person under age 18 who has committed a serious criminal offense. A serious youthful offender may be eligible for a "blended" sentence that combines a juvenile disposition and an adult sentence depending upon the youth's age and the severity of the offense.
