Several Covenant Law and Legal Definition
Several covenant is a covenant made with two or more persons which contains words of severalty. A covenant by more than one person will be regarded as several, where the interest of the persons is separate and performance cannot be made jointly.
When there are several covenants by the obligors as, for instance, to pay to A $ 100, and B $ 200, each may sue alone on his several covenant. [Farni v. Tesson, 66 U.S. 309 (U.S. 1862)].
