Sex change is the medical procedure that people undergo to reassign/change their sex. It is a change in a person’s physical sexual characteristics by undergoing surgery or using hormones. Sometimes the term is used to refer to a sex reassignment surgery. The medical treatment is undergone to effect a sex change in order to change the person's gender. It is also termed as sex reassignment.
