Short Notice Deployment is a military order that is issued seven or less calendar days before the deployment. It addresses an issue that arises from the fact that a military member is given notice of an impending call or order to active duty in a foreign country for seven or less calendar days prior to the date of deployment. A militant can take leave fore this purpose only for seven-day period. It begins on the date a military member is notified of an impending call or order to active duty in the foreign country.
