Short-Term Vacancy Law and Legal Definition
Short-term vacancy means an absence or vacancy that lasts for one month or less. A short term vacancy includes sick leave and vacations. While allowing short-term absence , an adult day health care center must ensure that appropriate staff is designated to serve in the positions that fall vacant during that period and that the center's policies and procedures are specific regarding coverage of short-term absences or vacancies. Short-term vacancy is also called short-term absence.
