SIC Code Law and Legal Definition
A SIC code or a Standard Industrial Classification code is the Standard Industrial Classification number listed in the Standard Industrial Classification Manual which is published by the Office of Management and Budget. SIC codes are four digit numerical codes assigned by the U.S. government. They are used by the federal government to identify and classify primary businesses of various establishments. SBA size standards are based on SIC codes.
