Sight Draft Law and Legal Definition
Sight draft is a bill of exchange or draft payable upon presentation to the drawee. A sight draft is equivalent to a check payable upon demand. [Mt. Vernon Nat'l Bank v. Canby State Bank, 129 Ore. 36 (Or. 1929)]. A draft payable at or after sight can never become due until after it has been accepted. [Musson v. Lake, 45 U.S. 262 (U.S. 1846)].
