Socially Disadvantaged Farmer or Rancher Law and Legal Definition
According to 7 CFR 636.3 [Title 7—Agriculture; Subtitle B -- Regulations of the Department o Agriculture; Chapter VI-- Natural Resources Conservation Service, Department o Agriculture; Subchapter D -- Long Term Contracting; Part 636 -- Wildlife Habitat Incentives Program], socially disadvantaged farmer or rancher means “farmer or rancher who has been subjected to racial or ethnic prejudices because of their identity as a member of a group without regard to their individual qualities.”
