Sole Proprietor Law and Legal Definition
A sole proprietor is a person who owns a person who owns a business individually and who is personally liable for the activities of the business. A sole proprietor is also known as a sole trader, or simply proprietor.
The following is an example of a case law on sole proprietor:
"Sole proprietor" means a self-employed owner of an unincorporated business and includes working partners and members of working associations. [State Indus. Ins. Sys. v. Giles, 110 Nev. 216 (Nev. 1994)].
