Sound Mind Law and Legal Definition
Sound mind is the state of mind of a person which is sufficient to reason and reach a judgment upon ordinary subjects, like other rational men. There is a presumption of law that every person who has acquired full age is of sound mind, and therefore is competent to make contracts and perform all civil duties. A person who asserts that s/he is not of sound mind must prove it by clear evidence.
